What is a Point Definition:

A location somewhere in a space.
It has no size, meaning:
no width, no length and no depth.
A point is shown by a dot.

How To Denote a Point:

Write points with a capital letter, like P

Points in 2D Cartesian space

Point P with coordinates P(x, y)
x = units to the left or right of the y axis
y = units above or below of the x axis

Points in 3D space:

S with coordinates (location) of S(x, y, z)
x = units to the left or right of the y axis
y = units above or below of the x axis
z = units of depth
